Why? Because we are currently the only forging company in the world producing connecting rods with a weight accuracy of +/- 5 grams! This means that our connecting rods can be installed by customers without the need for weight classification, thereby offering a considerable reduction in complexity and overall costs.

Connecting rods are central components of an internal combustion engine, and during operation are continuously subjected to heavy tension, compression and bending stresses. Faced with these diverse challenges, a forged component is always the first choice.

Minimal weight differences between installed connecting rods are essential for smooth engine running. As a rule, connecting rods are divided into weight classes after production, and only identical weight classes are installed in one engine. This so-called classification inevitably incurs additional effort and costs. By contrast, our connecting rods can be installed in one class.

Connecting rods are our core business. The capabilities of the entire company are focused on the development and production of these high-strength engine parts. In the 1990s, we were the first to launch forged steel, fracture-split connecting rods.

In later years, we introduced high-strength materials for connecting rods into series production. Reduced fuel consumption through lightweight construction: that is the demand for a modern internal combustion engine, and these higher-strength metals are particularly effective.

Using our extensive experience combined with the modern simulation programs, we develop and optimise connecting rods based on the engine data provided. The in-depth, specific manufacturing knowledge of our employees is then fed directly into the process, which accelerates the development process.

We produce connecting rods with weights from 400 to 8000 grams, and lengths from 120 mm to 400 mm. This covers a wide range of applications, from small petrol engines to large diesel truck engines.
